Solidarity Futures: Decolonial Work from the Colonial Core
How do we stand in solidarity without reproducing the very systems we seek to challenge? And what does solidarity look like when practiced from the colonial core?
In this interactive embodiment workshop, Idris (Sudanese/Dutch) and Ina (Australian/German) invite participants into a space of reflection, discomfort, and collective learning. Together, we move beyond theory and ask difficult but necessary questions about power, responsibility, and what transversal solidarity can look like in practice.
After the workshop, Pavithra Perera / WJA will give a storytelling on food and resilience. Then we move together to CC Amstel for an evening of shared food, theatre, and encounter as part of Refugee Welcome Week. Join us for dinner and Back On Stage — a powerful performance by refugee and former refugee artists reclaiming the stage and sharing stories through art and performance.
