About Refugee Welcome Week

Refugee Welcome Week NL 2026 is a refugee-led programme bringing together young refugees and newcomers across four Dutch cities. Over two weeks, participants take the lead as performers, curators, hosts, producers, and storytellers, creating spaces of connection through art, discussion, film, music, food, and community action. Refugee Welcome Week NL is part of the wider international Refugee Week movement and is organised in close partnership with Refugee Week UK. Explore the full programme at refugeewelcomeweek.nl.

About the contributors:

Stichting voor Vluchteling-Studenten UAF gives advice, (financial) support and guidance in education for refugee students, professionals and scholars in the Netherlands.

Choices Support Center (Choices) is a community-based organisation that provides psychological support and prevention services, particularly within the LGBTQ+ community, including asylum seekers and status holders. Choices prevention counselling on site in the AZCs, online and in our offices helps people with trauma, depression, PTSD and anxiety disorders to remain stable during the long, uncertain asylum procedure and when integrating into Dutch society and LGBTQ+ community. The ECDC has recently selected Choices services as good practices for testing, linkage to care, and retention in care for migrant populations in relation to SDG-related diseases (TB, HIV, viral hepatitis, and STIs).

P4Mi is an innovative initiative founded by two impact driven migrant entrepreneurs, bringing together Migration Inc and RBD Group to create opportunities for individuals and organizations to make a difference in the lives of migrants. Join the P4Mi community now and be part of the conversation that is shaping a brighter future for migrants.

Justice & Peace Netherlands is a non-profit organisation based in The Hague that is dedicated to defending and promoting respect for human rights and social justice, worldwide and in the Netherlands. At Justice & Peace, we work to build and empower local communities of committed citizens who work together for just, sustainable and welcoming societies.

Culture Tank Factory is a grassroots Syrian research endeavor dedicated to addressing key social, political, and cultural issues through the lens of arts and culture. The project is designed as a collaborative, multi-faceted platform, focusing on the intersection of culture and the arts with the public sphere, politics, and society. By bridging the gap between cultural actors, academics, and activists, the project creates a laboratory for deconstruction and reconstruction, for stirring stagnant waters, and for the continuous production of research questions and artistic tools.
